In a twist on a classic pair of diamond studs, 18 carat molten gold envelops the nocturnal diamonds like sunlight emerging at the end of a long night.

The jewels symbolise the perpetual cycle with which gold has been repurposed and become anew over millions of years, solid here but quickly in flux again.

Details

Made from 18 carat solid gold, the diamonds were submerged in melting metal in Alexandra's studio in the UK. This process aligns with Alexandra's central tenets: the practice of letting go of control and letting the fire determine the outcome of a jewel. The studs are fastened with butterfly backs.

Size: Approx. 4.7mm in diameter

Diamond: 0.32 ct rose cut salt and pepper diamonds, 3.5mm
