Molten gold bangle
Molten gold bangle
This solid, textured molten bangle refers to the eroded fabric of Berlin's post-Cold War 90s buildings that offered the space for humans to become who they wanted to be. The signs of the fusing and melting process serve as a reminder of the metal's eternal ability to be shaped, repurposed and recycled, always in flux. You and future generations will participate in the process of its creation by adding the marks of your own life stories.

The bangle bears witness to Alexandra's philosophy: the practice of letting go of control and leaving the fire to determine the outcome of a jewel. The process marks and textures draw your attention to the jewel's becoming and to the long history inherent in the material itself. They are also inviting you to add the marks of your life story over time. The bangle can be worn individually on the wrist, the upper arm or stacked with its companions.
